Cordura Tear-Resistant Blanket

Some patients tear, pick, or bite at bedding, whether from anxiety, dementia, sensory issues, or self-harm behaviors. A standard blanket doesn’t hold up, and the damage becomes a safety problem, not just a laundry problem. This blanket is built to take that stress and keep functioning as a normal blanket.

It’s made from Cordura, a heavy-duty synthetic fabric built for abrasion resistance, the same category of material used in military and industrial gear. Applied to bedding, it resists tearing and biting far beyond what a standard blanket can take, which means fewer replacements, less risk of a shredded blanket becoming a choking or ingestion hazard, and one less thing for caregivers to check for during rounds.

The blanket is 100% polyamide, comes in a single size (60″ x 85.8″) and a single color (navy blue), and is machine washable per the care label, so it holds up to regular institutional laundering without special handling.

Best for: patients with tearing or biting behavior, dementia care, and behavioral health settings where standard bedding doesn’t survive.
