TEAM Solutions | How We Do Business
These are the standards that govern how TEAM Solutions works, who we work with, and what we expect from one another. They apply when business is going well and when decisions get difficult. We intend to be here for decades. That requires capable people, fair dealings, responsible decisions, and accountability.
Accountability
The buck stops with me.
As founder and owner, I am accountable for TEAM Solutions’ direction, the commitments we make, the standards we uphold, and how we respond when something goes wrong. I expect people to own their work, and I hold myself to that same standard.
I delegate work and decisions, but I do not delegate away my responsibility. When we fall short, I own my part, address the problem, and follow through on corrective action.
Mike McKenna, Founder and Owner
Ethics
We say what we mean, do what we say, and take responsibility for our commitments. Our standards do not change because a decision is inconvenient, a client applies pressure, or an opportunity looks profitable.
We do not take work we cannot stand behind. We do not misrepresent what we offer, promise results we cannot support, or ask others to accept conduct we would reject ourselves.
People and Performance
A capable, fairly treated workforce is essential to good work. We support safe working conditions, fair compensation, clear expectations, and accountability.
People deserve respect and honest treatment. Performance matters. We expect people to do their work, keep their commitments, and take responsibility for their conduct. We owe them the conditions and clarity needed to do that.
Partnerships
A partnership starts and ends with a win-win. Both sides should understand what they contribute, what they receive, and what they are committing to deliver.
We do not take advantage of our partners, and we expect the same commitment in return. If an arrangement stops working for either side, we address it honestly and work to fix it or bring it to a fair close. We will not knowingly build our success at a partner’s expense.
Merit and Mutual Respect
We judge people by their conduct, competence, contribution, and reliability. Personal beliefs, cultural backgrounds, political views, and religious convictions do not earn preferential treatment or exempt anyone from accountability.
Agreement with our personal views is not a condition of doing business with us. Mutual respect is. We give it, and we expect it in return.
We consider reasonable accommodation requests in accordance with applicable law. We do not make ideological agreement a qualification, and we do not surrender our standards to demands for ideological approval.
Activism, Intimidation, and Coercion
People who seek to punish, silence, or destroy others for disagreeing with them are not welcome in our business relationships. Presenting that intent as activism, advocacy, or a moral cause does not make it acceptable.
Whether the issue is waste, climate, global warming, gender, politics, abortion, immigration, religion, or anything else, a strongly held position does not excuse threats, harassment, sabotage, deliberate falsehoods, or coercion.
We will not submit to intimidation, trade our judgment for approval, or allow access to our business to be used against us, our clients, our partners, or our people.
Credible threats and evidence of planned misconduct are grounds for action before damage occurs. Where warranted and legally permitted, we will restrict access, terminate relationships, preserve evidence, and pursue the full range of lawful remedies.
Anyone who attempts to damage this business through those tactics should expect a decisive, sustained response. We will defend what we have built aggressively, seek recovery for harm, and pursue accountability to the fullest extent available under law.
Fraud and Abuse
We protect what we have built and the people who trust us. Fraud, theft, deliberate deception, and intentional exploitation of our agreements, including attempts, will be met with action.
We will document the facts, act to stop misconduct, seek recovery of losses, and pursue accountability through appropriate legal channels, including referral to law enforcement where warranted. We will not excuse dishonesty to avoid confrontation or abandon accountability because someone expects us to give up.
Good-faith mistakes and disagreements can be resolved. Deliberate deception carries consequences. An attempt that fails is still an attempt.
Responsible Use of Resources
We run a lean operation and take a long view. Waste of money, materials, time, or effort is a performance problem. We use resources carefully, dispose of materials responsibly, and correct avoidable waste.
Operating for decades requires protecting the human, financial, and environmental resources that make our work possible. We assess practical consequences and favor decisions that keep the business capable and resilient.
We do not burn through people, money, or resources for a short-term gain that weakens our future. We do not waste things we have paid for, and we do not leave messes for someone else to clean up.
Community
TEAM Solutions was built inside the emergency response community. We have seen what it costs when communities lack the people, preparation, and support they need.
We stand with our communities’ givers, not takers. People serving in law enforcement, the fire service, pre-hospital care, the military, and community service volunteer roles have our respect and support. They accept responsibility, contribute their skills, and show up for others, often at personal risk or sacrifice.
We do our part through involvement, knowledge-sharing, and showing up where we can contribute. Strong communities depend on people willing to serve. We value that commitment and support those who make it.
These standards apply to us as well as to everyone we work with.
