213 RR

ICS 213 Resource Request (or equivalent)

this form documents when they were requested and under what conditions (Mutual Aid, etc.)

Typically, the Operations Section identifies the need for equipment to support their operations and initiates a request.

  • The sooner the request is written down, the sooner it can be effectively tracked.

Before processing through the originating section, the 213RR - or equivalent - should contain the following information:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name and tracking number of the incident (for tracking purposes)
  • Specific items and quantity requested (i.e. 24 cases of 16 ounce re-closable bottle of water)
  • Where the items should be delivered.  Typically, all incident resources report to a staging area for accountability before being distributed to the field teams.  Therefore, "Staging Area" is usually the best answer.
  • Original Requestor along with supervisory approval.  Knowing who requested the resource improves the accuracy and speed of the delivery.
  • Specific level of urgency (i.e. barricades during a riot are urgent, barricades after a riot are not)
