Responder Safety Training for those working around a structural collapse or other disaster like firefighters, volunteers, Search & Rescue (SAR), CERT, etc.
By examining and applying components of responder safety including the safety measure L.C.E.S., course participants will learn the needed steps to improve their safety margin while operating in a hazardous environment.
Anyone who finds themselves on the receiving end of a disruption and then reacts to it is a responder. This course will reinforce the participant’s ability to smartly and safely react or respond regardless of the type of incident or the extent of previous training. By gaining valuable training on responder safety best practices presented in a practical and tactical way, you will be better equipped and informed to keep yourself and your Team safe. The principles in this course are “real world”. They are used successfully in emergency response around the country by all levels of emergency responders. And unfortunately, when there is news of a responder death or injury, one of the contributing factors is often the absence of these principles.
